We sadly lost Ivy in 2025 -  she was involved with Younger Generation right from the start when her work colleague Frank Graves wanted to set up a stage group for South London children to give them the chance to actually perform on stage.

Her first job was helping in the dressing rooms, then later organising the matrons in charge, they had to have police permits and getting that sorted was quite a task.
 

Her next job was to help the cast registrar but she gave up after a short while and Ivy was invited to take over.  She said it was a most enjoyable job, getting to know the names of all the children was difficult - there were always a few whose names remained elusive!
